GPI HOLDING contributes 100,000GEL to the Infectious Diseases Center for medical personnel compensations

Ad-hoc fund – Gratitude Fund was established by the company to raise money for financial support to doctors and medical personnel

Tbilisi, Georgia, April 4, 2020: GPI Holding announces 100,000GEL contribution to an ad-hoc fund Gratitude Fund to support medical staff in the fight against Corona virus epidemics. With this initial installment the doctors and nurses of the Infectious Diseases Center of Georgia will receive twofold increase of monthly compensation in April.

The company pledges further financial contributions in the fund for this purpose and opens the possibility to its 900 employees to make installments and in this way express gratitude and acknowledgement to the unprecedented bravery and professionalism of doctors and all other medical staff of the country. Therefore, future initiatives will be financed by the joint aids.

GPI Holding has been fast in responding to COVID-19 crises and for almost a month ago started implementing various measures to safeguard its employees and customers against the virus. In order to prevent spreading GPI Holding started to follow “Stay at home” policy and rapid reorganization of its operational processes to allow all their employees to work from home. Before official order most of the processes where performed remotely. Technological systems already in operation, such as insurance web portal www.mygpi.ge and mobile all MyGPI allowed for the smooth transition so that customers started to receive all the insurance services online .  Sales deals with insurance agents can also be fully closed online.

Off-line claims services such as motor and property claims are performed in a normal manner with strict safety guidelines.
